about
This song is about the horrors of an amnesia patient, who wakes up in a hospital to realize he/she has lost all his/her memories..Suddenly everything is new and strange, but instead of being defeated by misfortune, he/she decides to take this as a chance to rejoice life again, find new purpose and meaning to life and somehow see the positive side as he/she is embraced by oblivion . If you look at it in a broader sense, it talks about humanity in general. The race which has lost its path and is falling deeper and deeper down the abyss. Let this remind us that it isn't too late to reverse all of it and instead of weeping over it, we can make attempts to find ourselves again and restore humanity to what it once stood for
lyrics
Journey of Rediscovery
I remember blank white walls,
Lying on a blank white bed,
I remember tearful desperate faces,
Sitting at the edge,
I remember talk of a disease,
Something I couldn’t comprehend,
I remember the dread when I realized,
My memories had come to an end.
The woman who once conceived me,
Now just a strange face,
The home which enshrined my childhood,
An alien place.
But as the arms of Oblivion,
Closed all doors,
A new born, child like curiosity,
Helped me fight this war.
They might call me unfortunate, and shower me with sympathies,
But I have something that they don’t, a chance to make new memories.
They might call it a bane, a disease with no recovery,
But I choose to call it, a journey of rediscovery.
Fate’s wrath couldn’t break me;
It only made me strong,
For Oblivion brought with itself,
A chance to redeem my past wrongs.
While others smiled understandingly,
And looked with pity at my pain,
I saw it as a chance,
To live life again.
They might call me unfortunate, and shower me with sympathies,
But I have something that they don’t, a chance to make new memories.
They might call it a bane, a disease with no recovery,
But I choose to call it, a journey of rediscovery.
